Single-screen video. Hand-developed super-8 film. One of a series of 'Trickfilms' by Edward Adam & Sara Annwyl Trickfilms investigate Early Cinema’s obsession with vanishings, disembodiments, distortions and amputations. In our contemporary revisitation of these early one reel optical illusions, we have sought to express the morbid eroticism of the cinematic experience; its voyeurism, virtuality and ghost-like qualities are expressed in Rosy Palm and through their content and in the quality of the film stock itself.
