The slender stems of hyssop are just starting to bloom with tiny purple-blue flowers all along the upper part of the stem. Sage (behind hyssop) has just been trimmed back after blooming; more hyssop and marjoram rub shoulders with lamb's ears (rear); moth pinks (the flowers are actually white) is almost done blooming (top right corner). Violets (foreground) were unusually lush this year, with all the spring rain.
