I am a qualified teacher of English to speakers of other languages, holding the Trinity Certificate in TESOL. I was born in the United States and came to Britain in 1975. I've lived in Bristol for the last 14 years where I've worked as a health researcher, a parent educator, and a foster carer. I wrote a novel called Checkpoint. I'm a first-time grandmother with a baby girl. I live with my partner Maria and our two cats in a large comfortable Victorian terraced house in a friendly and lively neighbourhood. We are close to the Gloucester Road where we go to cafes and do our shopping. There are frequent buses to the city centre where there are even more shops, cafes and sights to see. We enjoy walking and are within walking distance of a city farm, parks and countryside. We often take day trips to visit the countryside and sights around Bristol. We both love to cook. We eat a mixture of vegetarian and fish and chicken dishes. We love meeting people from other countries and learning about your culture and your stories.
